Prof. Raab is member of the German Associaton for Sports Science (dvs), the Consortium of Sport Psychology (asp), the Cognition and Motor Behavior (CoMo) group, the European College of Sport Science (ECSS), the North American Society for the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity (NASPSPA), the Association for the Encouragement of Young Sport Academics, the Canadian Society for Psychomotor Learning and Sport Psychology (SCAPPS), the European Federation of Sport Psychology (FEPSAC), the International Society of Sport Psychology (ISSP), the Psychonomic Society, and the Brunswik Society.
He received awards 1997 by the Institute of Psychology, University of Heidelberg:, 1999 by the FEPSAC-Young-Investigator Award in Prague (for outstanding oral presentation), 1999 by ECSS-Young-Investigator Award (for outstanding oral presentation and poster presentation), he was Herrmann-Altrock stipend of the DOSB and received 2001 the Karl-Feige-Award of the Consortium of Sport Psychology (asp).
Currently he is Editor-in-Chief of the German Journal of Sport Psychology (2008-2012), Section editor of the International Journal of Sport, Exercise, and Psychology (Section: expertise and information processing issues, since 2007), Member of the Editorial Board of Psychology of Sport & Exercise (since 2007). He is reviewer in about 35 international Journals, for societies and award committees, and wrote a number of books, chapters and papers. His grants span national and international organizations, associations with a number of cooperation partners world-wide.
The research group of Prof. Raab is a mixture of international and interdisciplinary experts in sports, psychology and economy working in diverse fields of applied and basic research.
